Our 2 and 3 bedroom A-frame vacation cabins are located near Payson and Show-Low, halfway between Christopher Creek and Heber-Overgaard on SR-260, centered in the Mogollon Rim Lakes area. Forest Lakes is a true four-season vacation retreat only hours from Phoenix. At an elevation of 7570 feet, we enjoy cool summers, colorful falls, snow laden winters, spring fishing and always a relaxing get-away. The property backs against the Sitgreaves National Forest. Cabin was built in the late 1990's, 2500 sq. ft. and has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Additonally, there are two sleeper sofas in the living room and a very large loft upstairs that could accommodate your own sleeping bags, futons, air mattresses, etc. The large master bedroom is upstairs with a King Bed and attached bathroom, and the two smaller bedrooms are downstairs each holding a full size bed.The cabin is within walking distance to Patrick's Pond, and close driving distance to Black Canyon Lake and Willow Springs Lake. There are a few convenient stores within 2 miles, and the closest grocery shopping is in Heber, Arizona approximately 13 miles away. The elevation of Forest Lakes is 7500 feet and is generally 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix.

3 Bedroom, 2 bath, wonderful views. The Cabin is situated on 3 lots providing space from the neighboring cabins. The elevation is 5300 feet which is typically 15 to 20 degrees or more cooler than the Phoenix metro area. The upstairs sleeping area (4 beds) can be divided for privacy using the bi-fold doors. The downstairs sofa bed sleeps 2. The Kitchen has a gas stove, 2 apartment size refrigerators, microwave, coffee maker (you provide the grounds, we provide the filters) toaster and toaster oven. Plates, cups, glasses, flatware, and pots and pans are provided. We have an amazing view of Tonto Creek from The Cabin both indoors and out. The creek access is via a stone stairway with handrail. The creek has a shallow play area for younger kids, and a deeper are for older children and adults. NO DIVING, there are rocks in the water. The deeper end is also a favorite for fishing.

Cabin borders Tonto National forest which adds to the privacy and seclusion. The large stone fireplace along with propane heat keep the cabin warm and cozy. The spacious upstairs loft features one queen size and one full size bed. Kids love the separate bunk house out back which has 2 single beds. Renters can relax around the table on the covered porch which has plenty of room to enjoy an outside meal.There is also an outdoor fireplace. A year round spring attracts wildlife of all types. Cabin was completely renovated in 2011 with many custom touches. Barn wood interior walls, log and large live edge slab breakfast bar add to the rustic charm. Hardwood floors through out the cabin. There is a vintage cast iron claw foot tub in the bath which is great for a nice soak after a day of hiking. The tub also has a shower. The kitchen has a vintage electric cook stove, vintage refrigerator, micro wave, coffee maker, and toaster along with all utensils, pots and pans required. There is also a washer and dryer.

The Two L Bar Bunkhouse is located North West of Tonto Village in the Tonto National Forest. The Back of the Property opens up into the forest and offers plenty of hiking opportunities. The Bunkhouse has room to sleep four comfortably. A blowup Mattress can be added to sleep as many as six people in the Cabin. It is a rustic and charming cabin located in the north end of the Area 22 hunting area.
