Debbie & Shain fell in love with each other at the cabin. Shain's grandparents built the cabin just next door and met Debbie there in early 2012. On March 7th of 2015 Debbie and Shain got married at the cabin with only close relatives and a couple friends. We hosted a potluck style wedding and with the river running in the background it was such a wonderful and surreal time for them. The cabin is a very special place for Debbie and Shain. In a few years they may be here full time or least half the year and may stop renting it out to weekenders. They would like to retire there and spend half the year traveling to other locations around the world. Debbie currently works with University of Phoenix and ASU. While Shain manages a doughnut shop in Chandler and is finishing out his last term in school for Web development. They own property in Colorado and in San Diego they rent out. They are really not sure were they will settle, if at all. But the cabin is such a special place for them you will be able to find them there from time to time as weekenders themselves.

At an elevation of 6100 feet, typical summer temperatures reach a high of 85 and a low of 55. Nights are cool enough for sweatshirts and blankets on the beds all year, and we get occasional thundershowers in the summer, so pack appropriately. The rates for "Leland's Landing" are lower than any other cabin in this area with these amenities. There are great mountain biking and hiking trails in the area. Star gazing from the deck is amazing. During the summer, the deck provides a great vantage point to watch monsoon storms develop and move in. We have seen elk, coyotes, javelina, rabbits and many other animals in the area.
